Prompt: “An author uses an AI text generator to create a children’s illustrated book”

As of mid-February, there are over 200 e-books in Amazon’s Kindle store listing ChatGPT as a co-author, and “the number is rising daily.” In this article, Greg Bensinger reports how one such author, Brett Shickler, used ChatGPT to produce and sell a children’s book on Amazon. I wonder what the US copyright office is going to say about this ChatGPT co-authorship by Shickler. Check this article: The US Copyright Office says you can’t copyright Midjourney AI-generated images - The Verge

According to theVerge article: “A copyright registration granted to the Zarya of the Dawn comic book has been partially canceled, because it included “non-human authorship” that hadn’t been taken into account.”

Interesting to see how this all plays out…
